Vivian Clark, MD

Dr. Clark, a native of New Orleans, LA, received her Bachelor’s degree from Harvard in 1976 (magna cum laude), then earned her medical degree from Boston University in 1981 (cum laude). She was admitted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. She did her residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital (now New York Presbyterian) from 1981 to 1985. After a year in private practice in Lewiston-Auburn, Maine, she joined Chapel Hill OB/GYN in 1986. Her husband is a professor at Duke University, and they have two wonderful daughters.

Her special interests in gynecology include the management of heavy bleeding in women age 11 to menopause, emphasizing medical and minimally invasive procedures which can usually be accomplished without leaving the office. Other interests include the management of health issues related to menopause and abnormal Pap smears.
