Would you like support and guidance for a natural birth? What position do you want for your birth? Would you like to use a birthing stool or other equipment to assist you during labor? Do you want extra help with breastfeeding?
We offer the option of safe, personalized care and support for pregnancy, labor, and birth from Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM’s). Our midwives are experts in guiding women through the process of low-risk pregnancy, labor, and birth. You will be an active participant in your care and in your birth with a multitude of options available. Our labor and delivery team is dedicated to honoring your choices.
Regional Midwifery is a service provided in conjunction with our sister practice, Durham Women’s Clinic to provide comprehensive midwifery services to our patients. We provide 24/7/365 on-call services at Duke Regional Hospital and we are the only midwifery service in Chapel Hill to work with private practice physicians.
You can expect the extra attention and support from your midwives with direct access to expert medical care if complications arise. You can have the intimate setting you want without the worry or distraction of extra observers.
