Dr. Hardison was born in Athens, Georgia and grew up in Cherryville, North Carolina. He joined Chapel Hill Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006 and within two years was already tapped to be the board representative to the Women’s Health Alliance Board of Directors because of his colleagues’ confidence in his decision making, management, and analytical skills. He is admired for being a quintessential problem solver.

Our patients view Dr. Hardison as a patient educator.  He is routinely complimented by residents and patients alike for his ability to take complex medical issues and break them down for any level of aptitude.  In other words, no matter what level of medical education you have, Dr. Hardison can guide you to an appropriate and sound decision about your care and there will be nothing that appears mysterious or threatening.

Ann E Miller, M.D., FACOG

Ann Miller, M.D.

Dr. Ann E. Miller was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Following her 16 year tenure in a private practice in Voorhees, New Jersey, Dr. Miller relocated to Chapel Hill in 2008. She enjoys a broad variety of women’s health topics with a special interest in perimenopause and menopausal health.

It was Dr. Miller’s participation in two separate medical mission trips, one to Honduras and one to the Dominican Republic that shaped her interest in women’s health, public health and preventative health.  She saw people who had no health care at all and would have benefited significantly with even the most basic of amenities, such as running water and toilets. As a student, this experience enlightened her future path and goals as well as her present commitment to her Chapel Hill OB/Gyn patients.

Dr. Miller’s favorite hobbies include exercising and sports.  She played division one basketball while an undergraduate at Stanford University and currently cycles and plays competitive golf.

Melinda P. Everett, WHCNP

Melinda Everett

Melinda P. Everett is a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and joined Chapel Hill Ob/Gyn in 2000 following a fascinating series of degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and great travel experience under her belt.  Her first degree was in biology.  Melinda then joined the Peace Corps and worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where Melinda worked in maternal and child health.  She set up vaccine clinics and supervised rural health centers.  Upon her return, Melinda attended the nursing school at UNC with a full merit scholarship as a Johnston’s Scholar.  She then worked in gynecologic oncology at UNC Hospitals during which time she pursued and completed her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program at UNC where she also received full funding from the Johnston’s Scholarship.

Melinda’s work with oncology patients prepared her in her current practice.  She understands the importance of symptom management and getting to know her patients as people.

Melinda is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health and has a special interest in female sexual dysfunction and vulvar dermatology.  She also specializes in helping people sort out the hormonal influences on migraines.

In 2003 she married her husband Ben, a computer programmer from Chapel Hill, NC.  He was so eager to marry her that he proposed to her over an international call while she was in the Peace Corps.  They have two daughters and Melinda spends what remaining spare time she has left (after ferrying them about!) involved in her gardening, reading and playing board games.  She calls her favorite activity a, “long, strategic 3-5 hour geeky board game with large groups of friends.”
